This tool schedules the count events using the same timing math as Metronome and reports the total preparation time before playback would actually begin. It never starts another engine on its own; a handoff to one always needs your own explicit action.

Understand
A count-in exists so a player (or a recording) has a predictable, silence-free lead-in before the actual material starts, at the exact tempo the material will use. Zero bars is a valid choice too, meaning no lead-in at all; this tool treats that as simply an empty schedule rather than a special case to warn about.
Worked examples
One bar of 4/4 at 100 BPM schedules exactly four beats, the first of each bar marked as an accent, ending at 2.4 seconds. Setting the bar count to zero schedules no events at all and a total preparation time of zero, which is the correct way to represent "skip the count-in" rather than a disabled control.
Method and limitations
Each beat's scheduled time is its position (bar and beat index) multiplied by the meter's own beat duration at the stated BPM and denominator, the identical formula Metronome uses. The first beat of every bar is accented; every other beat is not. This tool only computes and displays the schedule and total duration; it does not itself start playback in another engine, since a background handoff without an explicit gesture would be a surprising, unrequested action.
A multi-bar count-in in a compound meter such as 6/8 still schedules one event per stated numerator beat per bar, not one event per felt pulse; declaring the numerator as 6 gives six scheduled clicks per bar, while a player who feels 6/8 as two dotted-quarter pulses is free to simply accent every third click themselves. This tool does not choose a felt grouping on your behalf, matching the same explicit-grouping stance Time Signature Explorer takes.
