Privacy
MusicReason is built so that using it does not require trusting a server with your playing, your recordings, or your files. This page states plainly what happens to each kind of input.
Microphone audio
If a tool asks to use your microphone, that request is initiated by you, clearly labeled, and can be denied or revoked at any time through your browser. The audio stream is analyzed by your browser's own audio engine and is never uploaded, recorded to a server, or retained anywhere outside your current browser tab.
Uploaded or local audio files
A local file you choose for a tool to analyze is read and processed in your browser. Its contents, its file name, and its file path are never transmitted, and none of that information is used as an analytics label, a debug log entry, or an error report field.
Saved preferences
Where a tool lets you set a preference, such as a reference pitch, a preferred instrument or tuning, notation spelling, or a metronome default, that preference is stored only in your browser's local storage. It is never transmitted to a server, never tied to an account (this site has none), and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Analytics
This site uses non-advertising analytics to understand which pages get used, at a categorical level only: which page loaded, which engine was used, whether a result was played or copied. It never sends the content of a calculation, microphone or audio-derived data, a file name, or anything you typed or pasted. No advertising identifiers, remarketing audiences, or ad-personalization signals are ever collected.
In the European Union, EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics runs without setting any analytics cookie, so there is nothing to consent to and no consent banner is shown. Outside those regions, analytics uses ordinary, non-advertising cookies. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics storage is disabled for you regardless of region.
Hosting and logs
This site is served as static files through a content delivery network, which keeps ordinary technical logs (such as IP address and request path) for operational and security purposes, the same as any web host. Those logs are not used to build a profile of you and are separate from the analytics described above.
