Local Audio Analysis and Recognition

Browser-local measurement, with honest uncertainty

This category owns any tool that measures or estimates a property from captured audio, whether from a microphone or a file you choose. Every result here comes with an explicit confidence band or match score rather than a bare number, because inference from real audio always carries some uncertainty. Full-song chord-progression extraction is explicitly excluded from this launch. Nothing you play or upload leaves your browser: see the Privacy page for the full boundary.

A confidence band describes the signal, not your playing

The Microphone Tuner anchors this category. It estimates the fundamental frequency of a single sustained pitch using a local time-domain estimator, then reports a High, Moderate, or Low signal-estimate band describing how stable and clean the input was, never a percentage and never a claim about whether a performance is "in tune." Silence, noise, clipping, and more than one note sounding at once all produce an honest limitation instead of a confident-looking guess.

BPM detection, key estimation, onset detection, audio-file pitch tracking, and played-chord recognition are intentionally out of scope for this category: each needs its own representative-corpus and browser-benchmark validation before this site will publish a confidence band it can stand behind.
